What can I pay for through the Eagle Title EMD software?
Eagle Title EMD is for earnest money deposits (EMD) only. Earnest money deposits are a sum of money you put down to demonstrate your seriousness about buying a home. The Eagle Title EMD software cannot be used for cash to close.
Eagle Title EMD is only available for Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. transactions. Eagle Title EMD is not available for Delaware transactions.
How do I pay my Earnest Money Deposit using Eagle Title EMD?

My bank isn't available on the Paymints platform, what should I do?
The Paymints platform supports more than 12,000 banks across the nation. If you don’t see your bank, email info@paymints.io and they will work on adding your bank to their platform or will help find an alternative solution to remit funds.
Can I add more than one account for the transfer?
Users can add more than one account in the same or another at a different bank. Simply click on “Add Bank Account”.
How do I remove an account and replace it with a different account?
Go to the “My Accounts” tab and click on disconnect. You can then add the correct bank under “Add Bank Account.”
I want to remove by bank account so it's no longer visible on the platform, is this possible?
Yes, go to the “My Accounts” tab and click “Disconnect”.
Why doesn't my checking account have the updated balance?
Bank balances are updated every 5 minutes. Please refresh your screen or logout & log back in to see the updated balance.
Can I use my spouse's account for the transfer even though I'm not the owner of the account?
No, any user trying to remit funds must have the legal authority to access the bank account they want to connect with.
What type of checking account should I use to make my earnest money payment?
Any account not linked to a money market account that has “liquid” funds can be used.
Why am I having trouble linking my Money Market account?
Bank accounts cannot be linked to a money market account. Funds must be “liquid” in order for an ACH transfer to be completed.
Can I use the Paymints platform to submit my cash to close?
No, Paymints can only be used to submit your Earnest Money Deposit (EMD).
Once I submit my payment through Paymints, how long will it take for my money to arrive?
So long as there are no delays with the sending bank if the payment is initiated before 10:00 a.m. EST, Eagle Title will receive it after 6:00 p.m. EST on the same business day. If the payment is initiated after 10:00 a.m. EST, Eagle Title will receive it the following business day.
Will I get a receipt?
Once you have clicked “Make Transfer” both you and Eagle Title will receive email notifications that the transfer has been initiated.
You will also receive an email notification when the transfer arrives in Eagle Title’s account. You can also add additional email recipients if you would like to send the transfer details to anyone else involved in the closing.
