Eagle Title President Brad Walsh Featured by the National Association of REALTORS® on Emerging Real Estate Fraud Risks
Eagle Title is proud to share that President Brad Walsh was recently featured by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in both a national article and video discussing one of the most concerning trends impacting today’s real estate transactions: seller impersonation fraud.
As technology continues to evolve, fraudsters are finding new ways to exploit digital tools, public records, and artificial intelligence to pose as legitimate property owners. These scams can place buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and settlement professionals at significant financial risk.
In the NAR feature, Brad discusses how title companies serve as a critical line of defense against these increasingly sophisticated threats. Through careful verification procedures, document review, and collaboration with real estate professionals, title teams help identify inconsistencies and protect consumers before a transaction reaches the closing table.

“Trust but verify” has become more important than ever in today’s environment. What may appear to be a routine transaction can sometimes reveal warning signs that require additional investigation and due diligence.
The article and accompanying video also highlight the importance of industry-wide awareness. As AI-generated content and identity fraud become more advanced, education and proactive security measures will play a vital role in safeguarding real estate transactions.
At Eagle Title, protecting our clients is at the core of everything we do. We’re honored to see Brad contribute to this national conversation and help educate both consumers and industry professionals on the importance of fraud prevention.
We encourage our clients, partners, and colleagues to read the article and watch the video to learn more about the evolving risks facing the real estate industry—and the steps professionals can take to help keep transactions secure.
Thank you to the National Association of REALTORS® for shining a light on this important issue and for providing valuable resources that support a safer real estate marketplace.
